The report covers the implementation of the action plan from June 2016 through May 2017 with some developments up through September 2017.
In the Philippines, findings from the IRM researcher, Joy Aceron, is summarized below:
“The Open Government PartnershipThe Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a multi-stakeholder initiative focused on improving government transparency, ensuring opportunities for citizen participation in public matters, and strengthen... More (OGP) successful transitioned the implementation of the third national action plan to the new administration, securing support from the incoming leadership of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). Progress was made on almost all 13 commitments. Six commitments were assessed as having a “major” contribution to opening government. However, the main challenges of broadening effective citizen engagement and enhancing accountability remains.”
At this time, the public is invited to provide comments on the report. The two-week public comment period closed Wednesday, 23 May 2018.
