In Indonesia, the IRM report’s findings are summarized below:
“Indonesia’s fourth action plan focused on improving public participationGiving citizens opportunities to provide input into government decision-making leads to more effective governance, improved public service delivery, and more equitable outcomes. Technical specificatio..., complaints-handling, public information disclosure, and data governance. While the action plan touched on major open government themes for Indonesia, many commitments involved internal performance indicators. Moving forward, Indonesia should more closely follow OGP’s co-creation standards in developing the next action plan by prioritizing fewer, more impactful commitments and institutionalizing the multistakeholder forum. Indonesia should also develop a clear strategy to more effectively incorporate subnational units into the national action plan.”

“Rencana aksi keempat dari Indonesia menaruh perhatian pada peningkatan partisipasi publik, pelayanan pengaduan, pengungkapan informasi publik, dan pengelolaan data. Walau rencana aksi menelisik tema-tema besar pemerintah terbuka untuk Indonesia, banyak dari komitmen di dalamnya yang melibatkan indikator-indikator kinerja internal. Kedepannya, Indonesia harus secara lebih dekat memperhatikan standar-standar yang dibuat bersama dengan OGP dalam membangun rencana aksi selanjutnya dengan memprioritaskan komitmen-komitmen yang lebih sedikit, namun lebih berpengaruh, serta membangun kelembagaan dari forum multipihak. Indonesia juga harus membangun strategi yang jelas untuk menggabungkan unit-unit subnasional ke dalam rencana aksi nasional secara lebih efektif.”
