Public briefing on the IRM Philippines Progress Report 2011-13

I have been designated as IRM researcher for the Philippines. With help from the PCIJ staff, I conducted two workshops with 31 stakeholders, secured government’s comments on the research findings, and reviewed relevant documents on the implementation of the Philippines’ OGP Action PlanAction plans are at the core of a government’s participation in OGP. They are the product of a co-creation process in which government and civil society jointly develop commitments to open governmen... for 2012.

The result is “The IRM Philippines: Progress Report 2011-13”  that will be uploaded for public comment by mid-October, on the OGP-IRM website.

The IRM deems it important to share the findings of its reports — with the broadest community of stakeholders possible — and its recommendations on “next steps” initiatives to promote the values of open government.

We invite you to please attend a public briefing on “The IRM Philippines: Progress Report 2011-13” on Oct, 10, 2013, Thursday,  9 am to 11:30 am, at Annabel’s Restaurant on Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City.

We have requested Sen. Mary Grace Poe, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Information, to lead the panel of resource persons from Congress, civil society, business, and the donor community at this briefing session.
