Leading a diverse and global team, the Executive Director will drive implementation of the current strategy and further build the profile and impact of this prominent multilateral initiative.
Governed by a 22-member Steering CommitteeThe Steering Committee is OGP’s executive decision-making body. Its role is to develop, promote and safeguard OGP’s values, principles and interests; establish OGP’s core ideas, policies, and ru..., the Executive Director will help guide the overall direction of OGP and advance its long-term goals, which includes leading efforts with current and aspiring OGP participating countries and civil society organizations to build their meaningful involvement with the initiative. Identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships with external organizations that can actively support OGP’s objectives is also an essential part of the role.

Additionally, the Executive Director will play a critical role in shaping the strategy and content for OGP’s high profile regional and global events, which are designed to build high-level political support and promote peer learning across the Partnership.
The Executive Director will be instrumental in keeping the OGP platform on the cutting edge of international affairs, development, and political agendas. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced organization with a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed team, and be comfortable leading strategic discussions in one moment, followed by addressing an organizational challenge the next. Significant experience as a credible and persuasive spokesperson, and being capable of drawing in and engaging audiences at all levels from across government, civil society, and multilateral settings is required.
