Regional Coordinator (Western Indian Ocean) of the International Secretariat of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI)

Based in the Seychelles, Will May works as a Regional Coordinator of the International Secretariat of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI). He is responsible for leading FiTI’s work in a number of island states in the Western Indian Ocean, including Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles. The FiTI is a global multi-stakeholder partnership, which seeks to increase transparency and participation in fisheries governance for the benefit of a more sustainable management of marine fisheries. Will was formerly a journalist by profession, working at an independent daily newspaper in the Seychelles, and possesses a BA Joint Honours degree (French and Portuguese) from the University of Bristol, UK.
