Launching of a website that deals with women’s concerns and interests

Action

Due to the harsh conditions that women suffer from and the exacerbation of violence against them, Joussour Almouwatana  Association in partnership with El Kef municipality and with the support of the OXFAM Organization, decided to create a website represented in a Digital Electronic Platform (www.wpwm.tn) women’s power in the municipal power, directed to deal with women’s concerns.

Problem

The living reality of women in El Kef varies according to the environment in which they are located. So most of them are ignorant of the procedures that must be followed to access information, whether it is to complain or to seek guidance and accompaniment.

A website was created by the association “JOUSSOUR” within the objectives set at the start of this project in the day view, but the steering committee has to submit recommendations to improve the site and the operation of the associated services

1.2 Describe the main external or internal factors that impacted implementation of this commitment and how they were addressed (or not).

Several feminist bodies and associations and citizens have congratulated the commune of Kef and the association “JOSSOUR” for the implementation of this commitment; it was also the subject of a discussion or its presentation to the steering committee of the president of the national group and take as a pilot experience for several national and international associations.

1.3 Was the commitment implemented as originally planned?

All of the commitment milestones were implemented as planned.

For a dedicated site for women with the preliminary objective was implemented as planned by the project monitoring committee, essentially creating and hosting the static site at a satisfactory level.

This experience is new for the Internet public, it does not have a big impact because the site is static, it will have another result with a dynamic migration associated with a web application.

To everyone’s surprise, the commitment gave great national and international satisfaction which requested the municipality and the association “JOSSOUR” to decide to migrate to the dynamic with a web application.
