Indonesia IRM Report 2014-2015 – Public Comments Section
In 2013, Indonesia released its third National Action PlanAction plans are at the core of a government’s participation in OGP. They are the product of a co-creation process in which government and civil society jointly develop commitments to open governmen.... Mohammad Mova Al’Afghani, the IRM researcher, summarized the findings of the mid-term progress report as follows:
“The third Indonesian national action plan expanded the scope of activity in a variety of areas. Progress has been made in increasing public participationGiving citizens opportunities to provide input into government decision-making leads to more effective governance, improved public service delivery, and more equitable outcomes. Technical specificatio..., though more outreach is needed to align citizen-driven commitments with open government solutions. The governemnt needs to formalize a new OGI structure to ensure action plan implementation is protected from political changes.”
