The report covers the development of the action plan and the design of its commitments.
In Burkina Faso, the IRM’s findings are summarized below:
“Burkina Faso seeks to increase civic participation, foster local governance, and fight corruption following a period of political transition. Improvements can be made to commitmentOGP commitments are promises for reform co-created by governments and civil society and submitted as part of an action plan. Commitments typically include a description of the problem, concrete action... design in terms of traceability and diagnosis of problems. Ensuring that information on the OGP process in the country is available to the public is highly encouraged.”
And in French:
“Le Burkina Faso cherche à accroître la participation civique, à promouvoir la gouvernance locale et à lutter contre la corruption après une période de transition politique. Des améliorations peuvent être apportées à la conception des engagements en matière de traçabilité et de diagnostic des problèmes. Il est vivement recommandé de veiller à ce que les informations sur le processus du PGO dans le pays soient mises à la disposition du public.”
