Latvia End-of-Term Report 2015-2017 – For Public Comment

The report covers the full action plan implementation period of July 2015 through June 2017.
Zinta Miezaine, the IRM researcher in Latvia, summarized the report’s findings as follows:
“Latvia’s second action plan led to major improvements in open dataBy opening up data and making it sharable and reusable, governments can enable informed debate, better decision making, and the development of innovative new services. Technical specifications: Polici..., online participation, and the governance of state-owned enterprises. Remaining challenges include publishing more contracts, establishing a portal for commenting on draft laws and policies, and creating a multistakeholder forum dedicated to monitoring progress on OGP commitments.”
And in Latvian:
“Latvijas otrais rīcības plāns ļāva panākt nozīmīgus uzlabojumus atvērto datu, tiešsaistes līdzdalības un valsts uzņēmumu pārvaldes jomās. Joprojām jāturpina publiskot līgumus, jāizveido portāls, kurā komentēt likumprojektus un politikas dokumentus, jārada daudzpusējs ieinteresēto personu forums, kas ļaus sekot APP apņemšanos izpildei.”
