2021 IRM Week

Thanks for joining us!

To contribute to the reflections on the 10th anniversary of OGP and leading up to the OGP Global Summit, the IRM Week focused on the latest Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) assessments through targeted launches, select country discussions, release of comparative cross-country data and blogs produced in collaboration with IRM researchers, partner organizations and thematic experts.

The week brought a spotlight on the latest findings on performance of OGP members, including highlights from the first roll out of the IRM Refresh. The week also offered a glimpse into new trends on priority themes in OGP, promising commitments from member countries and foreseen challenges and opportunities to implement them. The IRM released new data on action plan achievements and reforms that have gained traction and produced significant early results.

Kenya Action Plan Implementation Check-In
Held: October 25 at 2:00 PM Nairobi

In 2020, Kenya commenced implementation of their fourth OGP action plan. On 25 October 2021, the Independent Reporting Mechanism will convene an Implementation Check-In to spark discussion among civil society, government, private sector and other stakeholders on progress and challenges thus far.

Indonesia Action Plan Implementation Check-In
Held: October 27 at 4:30 PM Jakarta

Indonesia started implementation of its sixth OGP action plan early this year. On October 27 Independent Reporting Mechanism and the Open Government Indonesia Secretariat will host a discussion on the implementation of the commitments in Indonesia’s 2020-2022 Action Plan.

Launch of the “IRM in a Box” Toolkit for OGP Local members
Held: October 27 at 7:00 AM EDT (English) and
October 27 at 12:00 PM EDT (Spanish)

Jointly with OGP Local, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) has developed the IRM in a Box, a guide to support OGP Local members to create local monitoring bodies, and monitor and evaluate the OGP process.

Ukraine Action Plan Implementation Check-In
Held: October 28 at 11:00 AM Kyiv

Ukraine’s Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers and the OGP Independent Reporting Mechanism will host a check-in and discussion on the implementation of the commitments in Ukraine’s 2020-2022 Action Plan.
