2025 Community Sessions
The recent shift in US foreign aid priorities is impacting the OGP community, platform, processes, and our collective ongoing efforts to advance open government reforms. Through three initial community sessions, OGP will provide a space for community members to share firsthand experiences of the immediate impact. By gathering insights from different contexts, we aim to develop a clearer picture of the situation and its cascading effects on the OGP community and open government work.
While we cannot predict long-term policy shifts, we can determine how we move forward together. Building on the ongoing efforts of many in our community, this session is an opportunity to:
- Share firsthand experiences of how these changes are affecting open government efforts.
- Exchange ideas on how organizations and reformers are responding and adapting.
- Connect with others facing similar challenges and strengthen our collective resilience.
As we navigate this evolving situation, these conversations will help us learn from each other, find opportunities for collaboration, and reinforce the strength of our shared commitment to open government.
This session will be repeated on three different days to accommodate multiple time zones—join us to be part of the discussion.
