Commitment Title
The creation of a catalogue of public information of the Administration of the Principality of Asturias.
Problem
There is no single document or access point where the contents and information related to the functioning and control of the actions of the public administration of the Principality of Asturias, the so-called "active publicity", is compiled in an organised and updated manner, with an indication of those responsible, the deadlines for updating and the formats in which the contents and information related to the functioning and control of the actions of the public administration of the Principality of Asturias are published.
Status quo
This administration, in accordance with current regulations and with the commitment of the different public bodies, agencies and entities, discloses institutional, organisational and planning information, information of a legal, economic, budgetary and statistical nature and all information considered to be of interest and relevance to the public.
This information is published on the different corporate web portals, the transparency portal being the main but not the only one where this information is disseminated.
Therefore, individuals interested in knowing the institutional, organisational and planning information, of legal relevance and of an economic, budgetary and statistical nature referred to in both Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, and the Law of the Principality of Asturias 8/2018, of 14 September, on Transparency, Good Governance and Stakeholders, should search both the Transparency Portal and other corporate portals to locate the information of interest to them.
Action
This commitment implies the creation of a catalogue of public information in a single, complete, updated and available reusable format, which includes a list of the contents published by this Administration, indicating the formats used, with identification of those responsible and the deadlines for updating each one of them.
How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?
The fulfilment of this commitment will contribute to the resolution of this problem by providing a single point of access to public information disseminated by the different public bodies, agencies and entities.
The expected result is a catalogue of public information in a reusable format, accessible through the transparency portal of the Principality of Asturias.
What long-term goal as identified in your Open Government Strategy does this commitment relate to?
This commitment is directly related to the long-term objective set out in the open government strategic vision of guaranteeing citizens' access to public information. This represents a fundamental right for all citizens and also supports citizen participation in public affairs and the monitoring of the Administration's actions, favouring transparency in public management.

What OGP value is this commitment relevant to?
Access to information | Because for our Administration it is a real commitment to proactive action to facilitate access to public information beyond complying with the requirements set out in current legislation, providing a single, updated catalogue of all public information available to citizens. Having a catalogue of public information in a single, complete, updated and available reusable format, which includes a list of the contents published by this Administration, indicating the formats used, with identification of those responsible and the deadlines for updating each of them, provides a reliable and accessible source of information that favours all auditing and control functions on the work of the Public Administration. |
