Safe House: creation of « Maison des femmes Victime de violences » is a pioneer experience.

Problem

One of the worst societal crimes is the violence directed towards women and in particular married with children and the detrimental physical and moral effects. Although much progress has been made at the legislative level, the reality remains very difficult, even bitter. In this regard, a network will be created for all women victims of violence within the Kef governorate.

Status quo

Violence against women is increasing and becoming more brutal up to "murder", which is horrifying and has shaken society. This is due to the lack of awareness and technical treatment of the problem (problem, complaint, follow-up, alert, regular decision, administrative decision, judicial decision, ...)

Action

The Joussour Association launched the first stages of a women's shelter for women victims of violence, and plans to develop a web application on mobile devices to receive complaints from women in question who need a shelter or information sessions for this purpose.

How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?

Implement a plan in cooperation with municipalities, civil society, the governorate of Kef and the Ministry of Women to create "safe homes", which contribute in part to reducing the displacement of more than one woman and her children and their accommodation. This is a temporary accommodation initiative for abused women and victims of violence, followed by rehabilitation and administrative or penal follow-up.
