Description

4.1. a) Training cycle "Understandable and simple language in public administration - effective communication with the public" Under the guidance of specialists, employees in the public administration acquire practical, easy-to-understand and concise language skills, as well as argumentation and explanation skills in a practical training cycle. The training provides skills in explaining issues relevant to the public, as well as preparation of policy documents, information reports, letters, communication and oral communication in easy-to-understand language, skills in organizing the content of events (including online) aimed at informing the public. Trainings are acquired by employees of various profiles assigned by the state or local government institution, who use the knowledge in the institution's communication with the public; b) Methodological materials for more effective communication of public administration with the public Public administration employees whose work involves communication with the population and who develop documents relevant to society (for example, develop policies, legislation, reports on the results of the work of institutions, respond to citizens, lead working groups) receive support for effective communication and use common methodological materials

4.2. Implementation of accessibility principles and requirements in public administration communication with the public The accessibility of information and consultations of direct public administration institutions and local governments, including on the provided services, and the perception of decisions by the population with functional limitations will be promoted. The measure provides support for the implementation of the principles set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Latvia, including the strengthening of the principle of universal design, and the implementation of the requirements set out in the Accessibility Directives 58

4.3. Sectoral open governance dialogues - "Understand the complex. Understand the benefits to society and get involved!" Each industry chooses a topical topic that is important to explain to the public and that is essential for the sustainable development of Latvia. The project is managed by 4.1. employees of the ministry (institution) trained at the event. For each project, two ambassadors are selected, a lead representative of the ministry and a civil society representative or expert selected by the industry advisory council, who jointly explain the issue to the public. Open governance dialogues: explanations on the LV portal and involvement of other media - within the framework of communication activities http://www.lvportals.lv creates a series of explanations on current topics in the sectors, increasing open governance

4.4. Active and inclusive communication with the population and transmission of information to the public in a modern and understandable way Over the next four years, ministries and institutions will develop active communication on topics relevant to the public, explain the essence and benefits, and ensure easy access to documents. Establishes cooperation with NGOs for communication with the population
