Institutionalize a Municipal Governance Network of the Comunitat Valenciana and create a network of participatory spaces

Problem

Institutionalise a Municipal Governance Network, which brings together the areas of transparency and participation, for the promotion, exchange, cooperation and joint learning of participatory experiences and transparency tools at the municipal level of the Comunitat Valenciana.

Status quo

There is general agreement on the problem that needs to be solved, although no quantitative data on the problem is available.

Action

The implementation of the commitment will enable institutionalisation of a Municipal Governance Network of the Comunitat Valenciana and create a network of participatory spaces. The following outputs are expected:

• The Municipal Governance Network of the Comunitat Valenciana operational and the adoption of collaboration dynamics.
• The activation of the network of participatory spaces.
• Materials produced within the framework of the Network’s activities (conferences and other activities).

How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?

• Development of the outputs indicated in the previous point.
• Encouraging new municipalities to join the Network by including assessment markers for these municipalities in the aid programmes for innovative projects in the field of Governance.
• Creation of a network of participatory spaces linked to the Municipal Governance Network, using structures already created and in conjunction with the Civic Participation Council of the Comunitat Valenciana, for the monitoring and transfer of their results.
• Organisation of at least 3 experience exchange conferences related to the Network’s activities (at least one per province).
