Allison O’Beirne

Allison O’Beirne is an analyst with the Open Government Team in the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (Chief Information Officer Branch). In this role, Allison has focused on the development and implementation of open government initiatives by governments across Canada and around the world. She has supported the Government of Canada’s work as a member of the Open Government Partnership, founding co-chair of the OGP Open Data Working Group, a Lead Steward of the Open Data Charter, and a co-chair of the pan-Canadian Open Government Working Group. Prior to joining the Government of Canada in 2014, Allison worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Canadian parliament, and also has previous experience in intergovernmental relations, having worked at the Council of the Federation Secretariat supporting meetings of provincial and territorial premiers. Allison is passionate about Canadian politics and public policy, and firmly believes that the Government of Canada and its information rightly belong to all Canadians.

Allison O’Beirne est analyste au sein de l’équipe du Gouvernement ouvert du Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor du Canada (Direction du dirigeant principal de l’information). À ce titre, Allison travaille à l’élaboration et à la mise en œuvre d’initiatives sur le gouvernement ouvert au sein de tous les ordres de gouvernements au Canada et ailleurs dans le monde. Avant de se joindre à la fonction publique fédérale en 2014, Allison a travaillé comme adjointe législative au Parlement du Canada, et elle a également acquis de l’expérience dans le secteur des relations intergouvernementales au Secrétariat du Conseil de la fédération où elle a organisé des réunions avec des ministres provinciaux et territoriaux. Allison est passionnée par la politique canadienne et les politiques publiques, et elle croit fermement que le gouvernement du Canada et l’information dont il dispose appartiennent, à juste titre, à tous les Canadiens.
