Lead, Independent Reporting Mechanism

Andreas is the Lead for the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM), overseeing the work of the IRM team to ensure timely and appropriate reporting for member action plans and on OGP’s action framework. He holds over ten years of experience working on open government-related topics, including access to information, anti-corruption, citizen engagement and participation.

Prior to OGP, he worked at the UK’s leading public participation charity, and previously as a transparency campaigner based in Spain. He holds a Masters degree in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Bath (as part of the European American University Consortium) and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies and Modern Languages from the University of Birmingham. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Greek. Outside of OGP, Andreas also directs a small LGBTQ+ community group based in London.
