Andy McDevitt

IRM Researcher

Andy McDevitt is an independent researcher with more than 15 years’ experience supporting governance reform around the globe, with a strong focus on transparency, accountability and anti-corruption. He specializes in the design of research tools, policy analysis, and strategy & program development for governments, international organizations and NGOs around the world. Andy acts as external reviewer for the Open Government Partnership’s Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) globally, and as the lead researcher for the IRM in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has conducted research for a range of organisations including Transparency International (TI), Open Society Foundations (OSF), UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), Open Contracting Partnership (OCP), Integrity Action, Institute of Development Studies (IDS), U4, Governance and Social Development Resource Centre (GSDRC), and Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA).
