Denis Parfenov

Denis Parfenov is the Founder and Director of ActiveCitizen, a grassroots, politically neutral, non-profit community initiative which builds bridges between citizens and their governments through open–source technology tools, communications and advocacy. He holds a Masters degree in International Business from University College of Dublin and a Masters degree in International Relations from Dublin City University. Denis is the Open Knowledge Foundation Ambassador for Ireland, who leads Open Data Ireland Community. Denis initiated (Sept. 2011), managed and successfully executed civic campaign which resulted in a commitment of the Irish government to participating in the Open Government Partnership (20 May 2013).
