A Clear Commitment to Justice
Justice has become one of the most popular policy areas across the Partnership and the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) has found many of these commitments to be highly impactful.
Gustavo is the Member Services Lead within Country and Local Programs at the Open Government Partnership (OGP). In this role, he oversees the development and implementation of OGP’s action framework, ensuring the delivery of effective, harmonized, clear, and user-friendly services and guidance for OGP members.
He began his tenure at OGP in October 2015 as part of the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM). Initially, he shepherded reports for the Subnational Pilot Program and later assumed leadership as the IRM Research Manager, overseeing the reporting process for accountability and learning in the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
Before joining OGP, Gustavo worked at Transparency International (TI) in the Global Advocacy and Campaigns Department and the Public Management Office of TI’s Venezuelan Chapter. He holds an MA in Conflict Resolution and International Mediation from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a BA in Liberal Arts and International Politics from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela.
