Janani Padmanabhan

Janani joined the Global Programs team of the Open Government Partnership in April 2024. In this role, she works as a central point of contact for reporting across programs, compiling and shaping data and narratives informed by the priorities of each donor. She also ensures implementation of effective grant management systems and processes, and supports with fundraising efforts.

Janani has four years of experience managing projects and communications for NGOs and impact startups working at the intersections of politics, policy, gender and health. Most recently, she worked at the Apolitical Foundation managing their portfolio of projects supporting women’s political leadership globally. She holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the Hertie School in Berlin, where she specialized in digital governance and gender. Her side quests usually involve crochet, language learning, cooking and films.
