Marco Marrazza

Marco graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and worked in the private sector, in particular on the systems integration and on software development for aerospace control centres. In 1994, he joined the Presidency of the Council of Ministers at the Department of Innovation and Technology, where he gained extensive knowledge in most of the ICT sectors through the implementation or the coordination of many projects, both national and international, and working on the development of innovation policy and the related regulatory frameworks. Now he serves as senior innovation policy adviser at the Department of Public Administration.

He is part of the OGP Italy team and with his deep knowledge of both technical and regulatory issues has a wide awareness both of the technical impacts and of the organizational aspects of the innovation policies in the domain of e-Gov and Open Government. Deeply convinced of the importance of the open approach in government, he has recently focused his work on spreading the culture of open government in the public administration, also by promoting dialogue with civil society and citizen participation.
