Micah Cruz

Micah Cruz is a research intern at Instituto Atuação (micah@atuacao.org.br). She is from the class of 2018 at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. She grew up in Manila and worked in organizations that sought to align local development goals with the national agenda. There, she found governance to be the key issue that hindered progress. She is currently doing her research internship on the links between effective democracy and civic engagement with Insituto Atuação in Curitiba, Brazil.
