Indonesian Government Released 47 Action Plans for 2014-2015
Indonesia has released its new 2014-2015 open government action plans. Since Indonesia had already undertaken a second round of action plans in 2013, this 2014-2015 action plans is the third wave of our action plans since OGP’s launching in 2011. The design of the action plans were engineered to ensure the latter aligns with Indonesia’s OGP Lead Chairmanship theme of ‘Promoting Public Participation’ that has translated into many action plans that enable civic participation. As a result, a total of 47 action plans were agreed and are classified into four groups of commitments, i.e., strengthen open governance infrastructure to support better public services, improve quality of openness in basic public services, accelerate open and good governance practices in corruption-prone areas, and improve quality of openness in common public interest areas.
The action plan generally aims to increase transparency and accountability on every ministry in vital sectors. Some of the vital sectors that being addressed are economy, health, education, social, and law. A copy of the new action plan can be downloaded from here.
